The Closure System — how a wall reaches a legitimate endpoint

A gate is not terminal because everything is solved. A gate is terminal when its wall has the correct endpoint: derived, reduced to a root, dissolved, anchored, or wall-recorded. This section is the discipline that routes every open wall to one of those endpoints — so nothing floats, and no local win is ever inflated into a global solution.

The end goal is anchor-reduction, not a from-nothing proof. Everything in physics is tied to an anchor; a derivation chains a result, by a complete argument, to an anchor other physics already uses. The aim is not zero anchors (impossible — the floor is ≥ 1) but the fewest, most-shared anchors carrying the most derived reach. Reducing a gate to a shared anchor is the ideal outcome — a success, not a shortfall; the only real shortfall is an incomplete chain. The gates scoreboard grades each gate on that ladder, and the ratified result stands in public: 33 resolved at +0 · 0 anchored at +1 · 0 open (ratified 2026-07-08) — with the separate honest axis stated just as plainly: 0 of 33 gates are physics-closed, because solved-from-nothing is unreachable in principle (the anchor floor is ≥ 1). Both numbers propagate from the live ledger and its per-gate dossiers outward; every other page derives from them.

The thru-line of the whole system: dissolution ≠ solved, but it is the only possible endpoint. Because "solved from nothing" is impossible (floor ≥ 1), a genuine wall's only honest fates are to be a measured anchor or to dissolve — its burden was an idealization artifact that disappears once the complete root is used. Dissolution is not a fallback; it is the terminal the physics was always going to reach. The principle

Full closure is frequently a unicorn: an unprovable universal negative ("no competitor anywhere," "no future theory could do better"), or a shared frontier wall no single gate owns (a constructive UV completion of quantum gravity). Demanding full closure of every gate before it can be called terminal is therefore the wrong test. The right test:

Closure here means classification, not conquest. Each wall is named exactly, linked to a deep root, and assigned a terminal status. What is forbidden is leaving a wall vague, calling a measured anchor "derived," calling a dissolution a "solution," or calling a local certificate a closed gate.

The five legitimate endpoints

Every wall routes to exactly one of these (see the routing protocol):

DERIVE — the actual target is proven/computed at the stated scope. Status CLOSED / DERIVED. Rare, and never claimed loosely.
REDUCE-TO-ROOT — an impossible "from nothing" demand is compressed to one named deep root / posit plus measured residue. Status REDUCED-TO-AXIOM / AXIOM-CLOSED. (e.g. granularity → one cell law $+\ \hbar$ as measured residue.)
DISSOLVE — the demanded problem was created by a wrong premise or an idealization; remove the premise and the burden disappears. Status DISSOLVED-CONDITIONAL. dissolved $\neq$ solved — see dissolutions. (e.g. the Λ 120-order catastrophe; the $r=0$ singularity.)
ANCHOR — tie the wall to a measured value or declared anchor set. Status MEASURED-ANCHOR / TERMINAL-ANCHORED. (e.g. Λ's value — honestly measured, not predicted — is the fifth and last of the measured inputs (Gap-05(value), MEASURED-ANCHOR · RESOLVED +0), not a per-gate derivation.)
WALL-RECORD — the remaining object is a real, shared frontier wall. Name it, separate the banked local wins, and stop. Status WALL-RECORDED / TERMINAL-ANCHORED / PHYSICS-OPEN. (the UQF-5C / UQF-9 UV-completion wall.)

On the live board these five appear under the ratified terminal names — derived-given-anchor, reduced-to-axiom, dissolved-given-root, measured-anchor, and certified-irreducible (with closed-negative for a proven negative). The wall-record endpoint is the board's certified-irreducible: the UQF-5C / UQF-9 UV-completion rows close RESOLVED +0 exactly this way — the shared wall W1 named openly, never claimed solved (UQF-5C dossier · UQF-9 dossier).

A wall that is none of these — a genuine, finite, owned computation — stays an honest OPEN work package until it is done. The ratified board carries none: 0 open.

Why this discipline is worth a reviewer's time: 33 gates, 33 resolved, 0 open — each verdict typed, each residual shown. The framework decomposes “is this a theory of everything” into 33 named requirement-gates and grades each by the exact terminal it reaches, from the small ratified set defined on this page. The board stands at 33 resolved at +0, 0 anchored at +1, 0 open — each row showing its named residual openly rather than rolling it into a hedge. A measured anchor is a legitimate endpoint, not a failure; dissolved is never counted as solved. Proven: the gates scoreboard · the residuals register. The honest caveat stays visible: “closed” means an honest endpoint resting on measured anchors, never “solved from nothing” — no gate is physics-closed (no experimental confirmation, no peer review yet), and the framework says so plainly. This is a candidate offered for review.

How this connects

This closure system is the action layer on top of the rest of the audit: the anchor system defines the roots, master anchors, and per-gate ledgers; the wall register lists the distinct frontier walls; and this section says, for each wall, which endpoint is the honest one and why — with the worked result, one routing per wall, in the closure paths (all 19).
