# Fable Series — Submission Spine (honest-status, referee-first)

**Status of THIS file:** PREPARED DRAFT — preparation only. Nothing here is submitted, uploaded, or emailed. The package is **BLOCKED** on three things, all listed in §6: Chris's countersign, Tahoe Labs entity formation, and the manuscripts' own disclosed deferred soft-spots. Do not submit anything anywhere.

**The four frozen manuscripts (post-pass-5, do not modify):**
- TOE (capstone) — https://physics.magflowmeters.com/articles/TOE.html
- GUT (Paper I) — https://physics.magflowmeters.com/articles/GUT.html
- Forces (Paper II) — https://physics.magflowmeters.com/articles/Forces.html
- Quantum (Paper III) — https://physics.magflowmeters.com/articles/Quantum.html

**Grounding:** every status label, weakest link, and falsifier below is lifted from those four documents (and the corpus's own internal source-of-truth and completeness-closeout records). The corpus's own rule governs: **the Return-YAML is the only instrument of promotion**, and a silent promotion is a structural FAIL. This package promotes nothing.

## 1. What this series is (one paragraph, no inflation)

A four-document geometric Theory-of-Everything **programme**, submitted as **CANDIDATES for hostile review, not as proven theorems**. The thesis common to all four: one compact ~13-dimensional shape (`M₁₃ = M₃,₁ × K₆ × S² × S¹_Y/ℤ₂`, with `K₆ = SU(3)/T²`), four measured anchor numbers in, and the rest of the Standard Model + cosmology read off the shape — with every claim wearing a status label from a fixed vocabulary (CLOSED / CANDIDATE / AUDIT / CONDITIONAL / OPEN / REFUTED) and every open gap carrying a named falsifier. The candor **is** the strategy: the papers route their own weakest links to the top so a referee finds them first. They are complete-ledger programme reports, not finality claims.

---

## 2. Inter-paper dependency, numbering, and submission order

The corpus's own designation (the internal source-of-truth record, §2) fixes the roles. The dependency is **strictly downstream**: the GUT banks the closed core; Forces and Quantum inherit the GUT geometry by interface only and re-derive nothing upstream; the TOE ledger is the capstone tie-breaker over all of them.

| Role | Paper | Numbering (as declared in-doc) | EXTERNAL-depends on | Kind |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| **Flagship / capstone ledger** | [TOE](https://physics.magflowmeters.com/articles/TOE.html) | The v6→v15 capsule line; "the complete statement" | Papers 1–3 + V1/V2/V3 closure packs (its §I closed core is banked corpus-side, EXTERNAL); QC engineering corpus (§IX, EXTERNAL/SIMULATED) | State-of-programme ledger; tie-breaker (source-of-truth R-5: TOE wins on conflict) |
| **Paper I (foundational)** | [GUT](https://physics.magflowmeters.com/articles/GUT.html) | "Paper 1 / main GUT manuscript" | Self-contained for its scoped claims; cites TOE only as downstream freshness pointers (it does **not** rely on them) | The reference document; owns every gate certificate |
| **Paper II** | [Forces](https://physics.magflowmeters.com/articles/Forces.html) | "Paper II / Restructured Companion" | **Paper I** for ALL gate certificates (C-FF13 interface-only inheritance); TOE v9/v10 (Gap-04) + v12/v14 (Λ) as boundary cross-refs | Interface / consistency paper (four-force routing) |
| **Paper III** | [Quantum](https://physics.magflowmeters.com/articles/Quantum.html) | "Paper 3 / Unified Quantum Force Completion" | **Paper I** (active branch, gate certificates) + **Paper II** (C-FF backbone), two-hop downgrade inheritance; TOE v6–v15 for stale-row reconciliation | Quantum-completion **audit** of the four force interfaces |

**Dependency graph (read top-down = build order):**
`GUT (Paper I)` → `Forces (Paper II)` → `Quantum (Paper III)`, with `TOE_FINAL` sitting **above** all three as the ledger that banks their closed core and breaks conflicts.

**Implied submission order (for a referee's sanity, foundational-first):**
1. **Paper I — Fable_GUT** (must land first; everything else inherits it).
2. **Paper II — Fable_Forces** (depends only on I).
3. **Paper III — Fable_Quantum** (depends on I and II).
4. **TOE_FINAL** (capstone; only meaningful once I–III are on the record — it is the ledger *over* them, and is also the fastest "is this honest?" read for an editor).

> Note for the editor: TOE_FINAL is the **easiest** entry point for judging the programme's discipline (its §V truth table places all 18 gaps in one of four terminal states with falsifiers attached), but it is the **last** thing that should be cited as settled, because it banks results that live in I–III. A referee auditing *honesty* should read TOE_FINAL §V first; a referee auditing *physics* should read Paper I first.

## 3. Per-paper: title, thesis, single honest headline status

### Paper I — GUT (https://physics.magflowmeters.com/articles/GUT.html)
- **Title (as declared):** *"A Compact Grand Unified Theory Candidate by Constraint Selection"* — subtitle *"Standard-Model-routing backbone + minimal F⁺ flavor chamber."*
- **One-line thesis (verbatim-faithful):** one compact shape + four measured numbers + a freeze-before-compare rulebook returns the SM gauge sector and nineteen-plus flavor observables; the same shape forces exactly three families and defines a buildable, simulated quantum computer.
- **Honest headline status:** **CANDIDATE by Constraint Selection.** Required GUT gates are claimed at *"Claimed certificate pass"* / *"Certificate-complete under declared assumptions"* (manuscript claims, explicitly **not** external endorsements). Six sectors are **declared EXCLUDED, not failed** (quantum gravity, full cosmology, dark matter, dark energy, baryogenesis, strong CP), with a binding rule that no required gate may be closed by shoving its difficulty into the excluded row.

### Paper II — Forces (https://physics.magflowmeters.com/articles/Forces.html)
- **Title/role (as declared):** *Fable_Forces — Restructured Companion (Paper II)*; the "Four-Force Constraint Backbone" (C-FF0..C-FF14).
- **One-line thesis:** the four forces (gravity, strong, weak, EM) are projections of the one parent geometry, each a real map from the frozen 13D active branch, certified row-by-row against the constraint backbone — re-deriving nothing the GUT already closed.
- **Honest headline status:** **Interface / consistency paper.** Every load-bearing claim is an *"Interface claim"* (or an imported *"Main-manuscript certificate"* owned by Paper I). It **re-closes no gate**; if a Paper I gate downgrades, the consuming rows here downgrade automatically. Gravity interface is *conditional on the volume-modulus freeze* (see WL-1).

### Paper III — Quantum (https://physics.magflowmeters.com/articles/Quantum.html)
- **Title/role (as declared):** *Fable_Quantum — Restructured Paper 3 (Unified Quantum Force Completion)*.
- **One-line thesis:** run the unified quantum-force stack through a 17-gate inspection (UQF-0..UQF-16) on one Hilbert space; the headline tier is the **minimum** over all gates (Σ = min rule), so the paper advertises exactly its weakest link and no more.
- **Honest headline status:** **Σ = AUDIT.** Ships at audit-tier because **eight of seventeen gates sit at AUDIT** and the min-rule pins the aggregate there. The eight AUDIT rows: UQF-4 (BRST/anomaly closure), UQF-7 (fermion quantization / no light mirrors at quantum level), UQF-9 (UV completion — a global open problem), UQF-10 (compactification stability, blocked by UQF-9), UQF-11 (nonperturbative QCD), UQF-12 (strong CP), UQF-14 (unitarity above cutoff), UQF-15 (no hidden-sector leakage). One of these (mass gap / nonperturbative QCD region) touches a Clay Millennium problem and is **not** claimed.

### Capstone — TOE (https://physics.magflowmeters.com/articles/TOE.html)
- **Title (as declared):** *"THE FABLE TOE — THE COMPLETE STATEMENT."*
- **One-line thesis:** one 13D shape, four measured numbers, and a rule that the theory must publish every place it is wrong — passed every test it could run, published in full the one place it failed (Λ), and named each test it hasn't run yet.
- **Honest headline status:** **State-of-the-programme LEDGER.** Of 18 gaps: **2 Closed-by-computation** (Gap 07 arrow-of-time, Gap 17 reproducibility), **1 Closed-at-decision-grade** (Gap 04 stabilization), **5 Conditional-behind-a-named-gate**, **10 Precisely-OPEN with falsifiers attached**. Makes **zero promotions**; the Return-YAML is the only promotion instrument. Explicitly a programme ledger, **not** a finality claim.

---

## 4. Author / affiliation block — **ABSENT (readiness item)**

A grep across all four manuscripts (`author`, `Author`, `affiliation`, `Bergstrom`, `Tahoe Labs`, `correspond`) returns **no declared author/affiliation/byline block in any of the four**. The only "author" hits are incidental ("author interpretation", "per author decision"). The corpus naming convention (`Tahoe Labs`, 2026-06-07) exists outside these files.

**Readiness consequence:** before any arXiv submission, every paper needs a byline + affiliation + corresponding-author + ORCID + (for arXiv) an endorsement path. This is **blocked on Tahoe Labs entity formation** (see §6) and on Chris's decision on author list / affiliation string. Flag this as the single most concrete pre-submission gap — it is trivial to state but currently empty everywhere.

## 5. Per paper — named weakest links + sharpest falsifiers (real, from the docs)

### Paper I — Fable_GUT (the GUT prints **ten** weakest links; the 4 sharpest, verbatim-faithful)
1. **F⁺ flavor chamber** — could be read as compressed Yukawa fitting unless calibration inputs / generated outputs / freeze timing are airtight (Section 7, App. I/J/K/R0). *This is the load-bearing one: it is the difference between a constrained construction and disguised curve-fitting.*
2. **Threshold unification** — threshold corrections are easy to overfit unless spectrum / regulator / comparison scale / freeze records are independently reproducible (App. G, R0).
3. **Search-category minimality** — "minimal" is only meaningful inside the declared search category; a reviewer should test whether the category quietly excludes natural competitors (App. B1/B2).
4. **Higgs protection** — Wilson-line protection must be shown to actually prevent high-scale sensitivity, not merely rename the Higgs (App. H, C9).

- **Sharpest falsifiers (GUT):** **proton lifetime** — a predicted proton lifetime contradicting Super-Kamiokande (`τ_p > 10³⁴ yr` is the target) refutes proton-safety; **gauge/threshold mismatch** — if frozen, finite threshold corrections do not reproduce the measured couplings, the unification claim fails (no fit permitted after freeze); **chirality** — any surviving mirror/vectorlike partners (LEP/SLD/Tevatron-excluded) break the three-chiral-generation claim. CKM phase sits at δ = 60° vs PDG γ = 65.5° (~0.79σ) — a live, near-the-edge comparison, not a free dial.

### Paper II — Fable_Forces (declares WL-1..WL-4 explicitly, "before review")
1. **WL-1 — Einstein-frame conditionality (gravity).** The headline `M_Pl² = M₁₃¹¹·Vol(X)` is honest *only after the volume modulus is frozen* (authority external: Paper I Gate 6 / App. F). If the modulus stayed dynamical, the gravity interface self-downgrades to scalar-tensor. A declared dependency on Paper I, not closed here.
2. **WL-2 — Quantum self-consistency of the compactification background is inherited, not proved here** (governed by TOE_FINAL Gap-04 + Λ, EXTERNAL).
3. **WL-3 — All gate certificates are external** (resolve in Paper I; if a Paper I gate downgrades, consuming rows here downgrade automatically).
4. **WL-4 — The strong sector's confinement / χSB / strong-CP edge is open and explicitly not used as support.**

- **Sharpest falsifier (Forces):** the composite factorization `π_QED ∘ π_weak` (C-FF8) — if that is **not a real map** from the frozen 13D active geometry down through the electroweak EFT, the entire routing collapses ("attack it first"). Fast by-hand check: the electroweak anomaly witness `3·(1/6) − 1/2 = 0` — if the hypercharge lattice were off by one step this subtraction fails and the charge table breaks with it.

### Paper III — Fable_Quantum (the eight AUDIT rows ARE the weakest links; the 4 sharpest)
1. **UQF-9 — UV completion.** Held at AUDIT pending a non-Gaussian fixed point at the declared truncation; flagged in-doc as a **global open problem**. This is the deepest one — UQF-10 (compactification stability) is blocked by it, and UQF-14 (unitarity above cutoff) inherits it.
2. **UQF-7 — fermion quantization / no light mirrors at the quantum level.** The *classical* index count (+3 families, no mirrors) is inherited-closed from the GUT/TOE APS index; the *residual* open obligation is that the 4D BV-BRST quantization of the descent introduces no light mirror from KK/quotient/loop subtleties.
3. **UQF-4 — BRST/BV nilpotency and anomaly closure.** AUDIT pending a Phase-4 anomaly lift under 4D descent.
4. **UQF-11 — nonperturbative QCD** (confinement / mass gap), routed to a named lattice / partner-community program; touches a **Clay Millennium problem** and is not claimed.

- **Sharpest falsifier (Quantum):** the **min-rule itself** is the falsifier-enforcer — any sentence quoting a tier above the computed minimum is, by §3.4.4, a drafting bug; and any AUDIT row whose named lift fails (e.g. a light mirror partner surfacing in the quantum descent for UQF-7, or no fixed point for UQF-9) keeps Σ pinned at AUDIT or drops it.

### Capstone — TOE_FINAL (the five weakest links it routes first, verbatim-faithful)
1. **Gap 04 closure is decision-grade, not certificate-grade** (c_loop stays open; a non-blocking magnitude lane).
2. **Λ is a computed honest FAIL** — the theory's own deepest ⊕-layer cancellation claim was tested and **refuted** (I2 supertrace honest-FAIL + I3 THEOREM_REFUTED); **Λ remains Weinberg-open**; no observed-Λ comparison performed anywhere.
3. **Inflation numbers ride two PENDING countersigns + one convention gate (K13-2).** Full four-branch table, not one flattering band.
4. **BG-10 (baryogenesis) is OPEN at 0/4 fixes**; no baryogenesis number is claimed. Falsifier: a completed four-fix computation returning η_B outside [6.0, 6.2]×10⁻¹⁰ at 3σ.
5. **Strong-CP θ̄-smallness is honestly underived**; falsifier: an nEDM measurement returning θ̄ > 10⁻¹⁰ turns the underived status into a refutation-grade result.

- **Near-term falsifier calendar (TOE §IV, real bounds):** LiteBIRD `r` outside [3.5, 36]×10⁻³ kills the σ-plateau (Gap 08); nEDM θ̄ > 10⁻¹⁰ (Gap 03); proton-lifetime reach (Gap, proton safety); the baryon window η_B (Gap 10); a dark-matter direct detection at all (Gap 11 null-forecast σ_SI ~ 10⁻⁵⁵–10⁻⁶⁰ cm² ⟹ any signal kills the minimal candidate).

## 6. DRAFT / PENDING-COUNTERSIGN blockers (read before doing ANYTHING)

This package is a **prepared draft only.** It is blocked on:

1. **Chris's countersign.** Per the internal source-of-truth record (§7–§8): the SoT designation is itself DRAFT awaiting Chris countersign, and **User Action U-0** (export of the Gap-04 verification package into the corpus verification area) is OPEN and hard-blocks Phase 4. The Return-YAML is the only promotion instrument; no agent may relabel a status.
2. **Tahoe Labs entity formation.** The author/affiliation block is ABSENT (§4) and the engineering bridge (§IX / §16) is attributed to "Tahoe Labs," which is a not-yet-formed entity. No byline can be finalized until this resolves.
3. **The manuscripts' own disclosed deferred soft-spots.** Gap-04 c_loop still open; Λ Weinberg-open by computed FAIL; BG-10 0/4; θ̄ underived; the eight Quantum AUDIT rows; the GUT ten weakest links. These are disclosed *by the documents themselves* and are the honest content — not defects to hide, but they are deferred, and the package must ship them as such.

**Hard rule reminder:** do not submit, upload, email, or run any web/network action. Do not modify the four frozen manuscripts. Only NEW files in the submission-package work area.
