# UQF-10 — Compactification Consistency

## What this gate must establish

This gate asks whether the frozen compact geometry — the active branch $K_6 \times S^2 \times S^1$ with $K_6 = SU(3)/T^2$ and the $S^1_Y/\mathbb{Z}_2$ boundary parity — survives as a *quantum* theory, not merely as a classical solution. Concretely: a moduli effective potential with no unstable directions, no tachyonic Kaluza–Klein (KK) or orbifold mode, controlled vacuum energy, and no runaway volume modulus, holding along the trajectory from the high-energy regime down to the four-force interface scale. Writing a geometry on paper is cheap; the expensive question is whether quantization leaves it standing.

## The geometry's role (load-bearing, not validation)

The geometry is the *input* that the gate audits, not a result the gate validates. It enters frozen and unchanged from the earlier papers — the same $K_6 \times S^2 \times S^1$ that supplies the gauge content ($SU(3)_c$ from $K_6$, $SU(2)_L$ from $S^2$, $U(1)_Y$ from $S^1_Y$). The gate then tests whether *that specific* compactification's moduli, KK tower, and orbifold boundary stay stable under loops. Crucially, the geometry being given is not a derivation of the geometry, and a stable spectrum *given* the geometry is not proof the geometry is the one nature picks; the gate inherits the branch and reports only on its quantum behaviour.

## Current honest status

**Badge: AUDIT (OPEN) — serious candidate / partial unification, NOT validated. Promotions: 0.**

The honest landing phrase used in the manuscript is verbatim: *"Quantum compactification stability is certificate-complete only within the declared truncation."* The gate decomposes into seven rows (S-1 … S-7):

- **CERTIFICATE within truncation (3 rows):** S-1 (single-modulus reduction, with shape moduli frozen by residual isometry/spin-c structure); S-3 (no *perturbative* tachyonic compact modes — non-perturbative exclusion remains open); S-4 is **AUDIT, explicitly scoped to a later paper** for the induced 4D cosmological constant, which stays Weinberg-open (the vacuum-energy line is a computed honest fail; nothing here is a live cancellation mechanism).
- **AUDIT with named research paths (4 rows):** S-2 (moduli mass-matrix positivity), S-5 (KK spectrum stable along the trajectory), S-6 (orbifold/boundary conditions stable — the Dai–Freed boundary-anomaly checklist), S-7 (no runaway volume modulus).

**Zero rows reach full quantum closure.** The blocking dependency is named explicitly: UQF-10 is *coupled to and not independent of* the UV-completion gate (UQF-9). The four AUDIT rows all hinge on a functional-renormalization-group (FRG) calculation that **has not been performed**, and without UV control the moduli effective potential at higher loops is not controllable. A separate corpus result closes the compactification *existence* question at decision grade, but it is inherited as a cited input only — it is explicitly **not promoted** into this gate's own certificate, which concerns the FRG trajectory and stays open.

## What would close it

There is a concrete, named path rather than a no-go. The **Minimum-tier UQF-9 pass** (a fixed-point existence check plus the Dai–Freed boundary checklist) is the same calculation that would resolve S-2/S-5/S-6/S-7 within the declared truncation; the **Strong-tier pass** (the full FRG trajectory) would promote S-2/S-5/S-7 from AUDIT to certificate *within truncation*. Closure beyond the truncation additionally requires non-perturbative tunneling exclusion and shape-moduli activation — and a genuine UV completion is itself a global open problem shared with all of quantum gravity, so this gate cannot be closed ahead of it. The most consequential falsifier is **S-7 runaway**: if the moduli potential is unbounded below in the operating range, it breaks the Einstein-frame caveat of the geometry paper and downgrades the gravity interface itself, not merely this gate.
