The Residuals — the open-gate attack list

This is the working list of every open residual in the 33-gate audit: the exact missing object behind each open gate, the kind of work that would settle it, and its leverage. It is the companion to the gate scoreboard — the scoreboard says which gates are open and why ; this page says what to do next and in what order .

The goal is not to force closure. It is to reduce each residual to an honest acceptable terminal endpoint — reduced-to-anchor , reduced-to-axiom (if atomic), root-constrained (anchored residual), root-forced , or dissolved — or to return the exact reason it cannot. anchored IS closed (it rests on a named anchor floor) · selected ≠ forced · candidate ≠ settled · dissolved ≠ solved · floor ≥ 1. This is a frozen TOE candidate under honest audit: 22 of 33 gates reach a closed terminal (derived, dissolved, measured-anchor, certified-irreducible, or reduced-to-axiom), including BOTH deep roots (Scale and Shape); most of the rest are one bounded step away, and the remaining structural gates reduce to a single shared frontier (the non-perturbative continuum / UV completion).

How to attack one. Run the standing method: take the complete Shape · Scale · Granularity (a residual seen only under a truncated root is an artifact ), apply the second-layer audit roots , build the map and its certificate, then the forcing certificate, then test against a Layer-1 observable. A residual closes only when a closed candidate class + every root leaves one target-blind rule that survives an observable test.

 1. Highest-leverage targets — attack these first

Each is a single named object that, once settled, decides a gate verdict. They are the shortest paths to moving the board.

Target Gate(s) The exact object to produce Work What it decides

 W09 vacuum / moduli −1 sg6 · uqf10 Confirm the $SU(3)/T^2$ scalar-curvature cross-term coefficient is $1/6$ (standard Wang–Ziller), not $1/2$; then correct the frozen F1 certificate $S=\sum 1/u-\tfrac12 T \to -\tfrac16 T$. read + 1 computation Decides the geometric sign. At $1/6$ the shape Hessian is $+\tfrac13 I_2$ (the −1 heals — it was a truncation artifact). Full mass² then needs the Einstein-frame $V$-sign + graded-Casimir supertrace.

W08 custodial ρ sg5 Build the $A_5$ holonomy-generator / $A_y$ zero-mode electroweak-representation table; certify DOUBLET vs $su(2)_L$ ADJOINT . construction Doublet ⇒ Veltman $\rho_{\rm tree}=1$ (candidate upgrades toward forced-given-E); adjoint ⇒ $\rho\neq1$ (candidate collapses). The whole ρ verdict turns on this one object. (Hinge already leans doublet.)

W05 family number sg3 Run the value-blind pre-registered minimality weight enumeration: does the minimal admissible weight uniquely give $|\mathrm{index}|=3$ without the LEP $N_\nu$ anchor? And does Dai–Freed single-valuedness kill the trivial $(0,0)$ weight target-blind? computation If yes ⇒ 3 generations forced by the Shape (W05 upgrades from anchored toward forced — the highest upside on the board). If no ⇒ the LEP anchor stays load-bearing.

W03 a₆ keystone gap01 Compute the SU(3) Gelfand–Tsetlin off-diagonal matrix elements gating Levi-Civita–Lichnerowicz hopping on the graviton bundle $\mathrm{Sym}^2(T)$; and decide the Bochner-vs-Lichnerowicz operator identity (which single operator both routes must evaluate). computation The keystone binding residual. Only after both routes reduce to the same LC-Lichnerowicz operator does Gilkey force agreement. (The “two routes agree” framing is refuted — they are different operators.)

W04 additive-MDL deeproot-granularity · sg1 Determine the algebraic category of the cost-ledger order: ordered cancellative commutative GROUP (Hölder applies, BR-Arch unique) vs only a MONOID (Hölder fails); then run Toolbox Saturation of the 3 un-audited roots (Shape, Invariance, Causal Order) against the lex countermodel. proof Decides whether the additive-MDL bridge reduces to one new axiom (BR-Arch, floor+1) or stays ambiguous — and whether any root eliminates the lex countermodel (upgrade toward forced).

Flavor closure (Yukawas / CKM / PMNS) — F+ chamber rulebook CERTIFIED-IRREDUCIBLE R M_R is CLOSED as a derivation target: the type-I seesaw flat direction (Nν, M_R)→(λNν, λ²M_R) PROVES M_R is not derivable from light-sector data. It is a legitimate heavy-sector anchor (counted once as AC-GAP10-HOLE3), not a failure — the demand to “derive M_R from below” was the error, and it dissolves. The value awaits a future heavy-sector measurement.

Up-quark mass — rescued as a wrong-ruler comparison (CLOSED / DERIVED-GIVEN the frozen shape; +0.058σ). This gate carries a forced, reached prediction. Once the declared top-quark scale and the geometric step κ=e −π√3 are set, the raw 13D flavor ladder gives about 3.2 MeV — a ~4.4σ miss as written . That comparison used the wrong ruler. In the full K 6 =SU(3)/T² flavor geometry the ladder assigns each rung to an exterior power of the A 2 chamber plane (a=0 scalar, a=1 one-step, a=2 the oriented two-step), so the lightest up rung is the Λ 2 orientation actor; Λ 2 of the A 2 plane transforms by det = sgn under the Weyl group W(SU(3))=S 3 , i.e. the one-dimensional sign representation, and its normalized one-chamber 4D shadow is a forced 1/√6 = 1/√|S 3 |. This factor is computed from the group order alone — it is not reverse-engineered from the measured value (a machine check used only |S 3 |=6; negative controls reject a sector-wide factor, a charm shift, and any continuous ~0.40 fit; the up rung is fixed by representation type, not by fitted value). Applying it gives m u =1.295 MeV against the measured 1.27±0.43 MeV (+0.058σ); the up-sector ratios and mixing/phase structure continue to hold (|V cb | 0.005σ, J 0.21σ). Because the two-step actor is a layer of the frozen shape, the result is derived given the shape — the same load-bearing basis every gate rests on — and it is now written out in full: the exact up-sector bundle E u,K = L λu ⊗ Λ 2 V A2 , the S 1 Y /Z 2 fold data, and the Wilson/Higgs overlap, as an explicit spin c Dirac/Dolbeault operator (S 2 and S 1 Y are spectators, so K 6 owns the factor). The a=2 ↔ Λ 2 actor assignment is fixed by the frozen shape and formalized as an explicit spin c Dirac operator (the same load-bearing basis every gate rests on); the +0.058σ value stands as a sharp, falsifiable prediction against future precision measurement. ledger

 3. Shared objects — attack once, moves many gates

Per Nonseparability ( second-layer root ): several gates share one physical object. Settle it once ; never re-choose it per gate, and never count one shared success as several.

Shared object Gates that depend on it Discipline

Heat-kernel scheme object Gap-01 (gap01) · SG-6 (sg6) · thresholds (uqf9 / sg7) One spectral/heat-kernel scheme underlies all three. Settle it once (operator identity + scheme/window); do not re-choose it per gate or count it as separate successes.

$M_R$ / seesaw scale neutrinos (sg9) · baryogenesis (gap10-bg10) One Majorana scale. It is a measured/calibration scale (not Shape-fixed — W06 DOF obstruction); changing it re-runs both dependent gates.

RG matching scheme unification (sg6) · proton/thresholds (sg7) · electroweak (sg5) One matching/threshold policy across the running-coupling gates; freeze once, declared scheme + window.

 5. Refuted — do not re-attack these as stated

Doing the physics this round actively falsified these optimistic closures. Re-attempting them as written wastes effort; the honest residual (where one remains) is named.

gap01 — a₆ keystone. “The two routes agree, closing the keystone” is provably false — the canonical-Bochner ($E=0$) and Levi-Civita–Lichnerowicz ($E=-\mathrm{Ric}$) routes evaluate different Laplace-type operators, so by Gilkey their $a_6$ must differ. Attack the GT off-diagonals, not the “agreement”.

sg8 — flavor $M_R$. “$M_R$ is fixed by the Shape” is refuted (DOF obstruction: the RH neutrino is a gauge singlet, so Wilson/Hosotani cannot act; seesaw = 2 unknowns vs 1 datum). $M_R$ is a measured/calibration scale.

gap08 — inflation. “$K_{\sigma\sigma}=24$ is geometry-forced” is refuted — standard KK reduction gives $49.5$ or $16.36$, never $24$ ($24=4\times6$ is numerology). Declared excluded cosmology sector.

born — Born A2. The Born-rule chamber-measure uniqueness route is provably empty : $SU(3)$ acts trivially on the squashing-moduli base, so no compact group acts transitively and the Haar-uniqueness engine can never fire. Born-A2 survives only as the named posit AXIOM-CHAMBER-SELECTOR .
